Girl Meets Glitter {{November 2014 Ipsy}}

After waiting patiently (not very) I finally received my Ipsy bag for November. Let me say this one took 11 days for it to get to me... I have never had it take this long. I was really anxious for this bag because I love glitter and sparkles so this bag is my absolute favorite! I love it.
This month I redeemed some of my ipsy points and I will review that product last. Normally in each Ipsy bag you get 4-5 products. For Novembers theme it was Girl Meets Glitter. I was hoping to get the Nicole by OPI glitter nail polish but I didn't. So now onto the products I received.
The first product that I have in this months bag is a hair spray from Marc Anthony. Its oil of Morocco argan oil. My product is just a travel size which would be perfect to bring along to places when you travel. I'm not a huge user of hair spray so this may come in handy when I do decide to style my hair. The scent of this product isn't too strong, it almost smells a bit fruity and not too much like chemicals.
To purchase this product it looks like you can purchase it from Walgreens. If you wanted to purchase the full size item you can get it for $8.29 here.

This next product is from SeaRX and its a micro-dermabrasion face and body scrub and its supposed to prevent aging. I got a very small sample of this product that feels like there is nothing in the tube, which could be because it's all pushed into the cap. There is no scent to this product. I really hope this product doesn't make my skin break out like one of my past products did.
To purchase the full size version it's a bit spendy. It would cost you $32 which you can purchase here.

This product was probably my favorite product in the whole bag (besides what I purchased of course). This is Be A Bombshell eye base in the shade Submissive. I really love this brand and love the shade. It's a golden neutral brown which shimmers. This goes with most of my other makeup collection and I think this will work perfect for my base with other eye shadows to make it a bit darker.
This product costs $14 to purchase. You can check this eye base out here.

Next product is Bye Bye Under Eye by IT Cosmetics. I received a travel size in the shade neutral medium which I think works great with my skin color. I've never tried and under eye product but I think this might do the trick. This product is water proof and this company doesn't test on animals. This has vitamins C and K.

For the full size product it would cost $24 and you can check it out here.

This product is from Starlooks which is a brand I have never heard about before. I got mine in the shade Guilty Pleasure which seems to be a neutral pink shade. I normally don't like lip glosses and how they make my lips feel but this doesn't make my lips feel super sticky. I love the scent of this product also, it almost smells like vanilla.
My product is a travel/sample size but you can purchase the full size product for $13. There are many different shades and texture to choose from. Check it out here.

Alright so these are what I redeemed my Ipsy points for. If you don't already know you receive Ipsy points when you leave reviews on products or share stuff to Facebook. For these three eye shadows from Milani it costed me 1,000 Ipsy points. I was a bit nervous after I purchased them after reading some of the comments from other users that theirs were broken when they got them. Thank goodness mine weren't!
The shades that I got were Bella Gold (22 Metallic), Bella Ivory (01 Satin Matte), and Bella Espresso (06 Satin Matte). I love these eye shadows so far, they are all a neutral brown/tan/gold. As I go back to write this blog I see that Ipsy no longer offers this to redeem your Ipsy points any more. There are many different shades and colors that you can purchase. You can buy these for $4.49 each here.

I love this bag and I will probably be using it as my makeup bag in my purse. Love the silver sparkles with the pink zipper. It looks like this bag is from Forever 21 cosmetic line made just for Ipsy. Love it!

Buy & Try (November 2014)

So it's been awhile since I've posted a buy and try but now I finally have had some time to test products. This month I have a variety of different products and surprisingly they all aren't makeup or beauty related. Lets get started.

First up is a smoothie from Dole Shakers. I tried the flavor peach mango but there were quite a few to choose from. All you had to do was add your favorite juice and shake. I added white grape juice to mine since I didn't have any apple juice. I loved this and can't wait to purchase more. The container makes it easy to take along with you when you are out and about.
I purchased this product at Walmart. I can't quite remember how much it was but it was no more then $3. Very quick, easy, and tastes delicious.

Rate: 10/10

Recently a Winco opened up in my area and as I was looking around I found this. This is the Starbucks Discoveries and I purchased mine in the flavor of Peppermint Mocha. They had some other holiday flavored ones and some of their original flavors. I personally like this drink over ice but you can drink it alone or blended. I tried it blended and ended up having to throw it away because I didn't like it.
This product costed around $3.98. The container is a pretty good size but noticed that it makes 3-4 good sized servings. The peppermint isn't strong either so it's a nice drink.

Rate: 9/10

These next two candles are from Bath and Body Works. I absolutely love their candles! Of course I bought two during their 2 for $22. The two scents I chose are from their holiday line. I picked Merry Cookie and Tis the Season. I just love their containers and their scents. I just want the cookie one to last forever.
I currently have Tis the Season burning right now as I am tying this blog and it has my living room smelling like cinnamon and winter time. Makes my place feel really cozy.

Rate: 10/10

So this next product I got for free from purchasing the two candles and the candle holder. This is also from Bath and Body works in the scent A Thousand Wishes. Normally I don't like lotions but I have been putting this on every day. I love the scent because it's not to strong and over powering. This makes my hands feel smooth all day. Plus the packaging is super cute.  Rate: 8/10
Lastly are some books that I found interesting. I first found this series by reading the book Go Ask Alice and I found it really interesting. These books are journals of young adults and their struggles. I am currently reading Jay's Journal right now. I love reading about what other people go through and just seeing life in their point of view. Most of these are about drug related abuse but one journal is about anorexia. They are a good quick read as I finished Go Ask Alice in one day because I couldn't put it down.   Rate: 9/10
Got a product that you want me to try? Leave it in the comments and it may just be featured in my next buy and try.

Mary Kay Clear Proof Acne System {{Influenster}}

Recently I was given the opportunity to review Clear Proof Mary Kay from Influenster. Clear Proof is Mary Kay's version of an acne system. Like I have mentioned previously in my past posts my face is super sensitive to stuff like this so I was pretty nervous to put it on my face, but I did. I have read other peoples reviews on this product and it scared me about some of their results saying that they had rash like symptoms. People who use this product are supposed to see results in just 7 days. I used to have acne really bad but I don't have it as bad anymore, just some redness here and there.
What I received were four bottles of their system. I only tried two of the bottles because I don't currently have any acne going on right now. I am testing it though with the help of my boyfriend and we are using it on his shoulders and part of his back.
The ones I tried on my face was the first step and the fourth step. The first bottle is the Clear Proof Clarifying Cleansing Gel which removes dirt, oil, and other impurities. This stuff is really gooey texture and just feels weird to me. The last step I tried was the Clear Proof Oil Free Moisturizer for Acne Prone skin. It doesn't clog your pores and it has a soothing feeling. It made my face feel nice and fresh the whole rest of the day. I really like how it made it feel, even though it did have sort of a strong fragrance to it. I didn't have any of the redness or rash like symptoms that other people that have tried this product received.
With my boyfriend we have been trying all four steps. The second step is the Clear Proof Blemish Control Toner which helps tone skiing without over drying it and helps remove oil. The third step is the Clear Proof Acne Treatment Gel which helps prevent new pimples from forming.
Overall I don't think I would purchase this product because my face rarely breaks out. To purchase exactly what's pictured is $35 which would maybe last you a couple months for face but if you want to cover a larger area it would maybe last you a month. This product does seem to work though, my boyfriend has no more acne on his shoulders and no redness. This was using the product once every other day because we got busy and couldn't do it every day. I'm impressed with the results though so I definitely have to rate this 8 out of 10. If you decide this product is for you I would test it on a small patch of your face to see if you will have a reaction.
I received this product for free for testing purposes from Influenster.

Beauty Candy {{October 2014 Ipsy}}

 This month's Ipsy bag was pretty good this month. The October theme was Beauty Candy. I had a lot of pretty good products to try this month. Make sure to check back for next months Ipsy bag because I redeemed my Ipsy points and I'm getting something extra!
I loved this months bag. It's a teal blue with a nice texture. It's sort of a retro themed bag.
 The first product I had a nice little blunder about thinking it went on my face but instead was told it goes on your hair. It would help if I read the packaging once in a while. This product is Ecru New York and its an Acacia protein BB cream for your hair. This can be applied to dry hair also to give it extra hydration. My favorite thing about this product is probably the scent, it smells amazing.
To purchase this product it would cost you $30 for a 4.2 oz bottle. Check it out here.
 Next up is these facial wipes from Skyn Iceland. These wipes are amazing! I love them to remove my makeup since I have such a sensitive face and most products make my face turn really red. These are gentle and work great. The scent smells like lotion. I received a package of 10 wipes.
To purchase this product it would be $15 for 30 wipes. This is probably a product I will repurchase in the future. Check it out here.
 Next up is an eyeliner! This eyeliner is from Skone Tattooed and it's waterproof. The tip of this eyeliner makes it look like it's an easy application. I plan to use this eyeliner for my upper lid. I love receiving new eyeliners to try since it's basically the only makeup I wear when I'm running late.
To purchase this product it would be $15. You can check it out here.

Ayres Body Butter is the next product. Reading up on this product I'm pretty impressed with them. They are huge on not testing on animals which I love. This product is more on the expensive side though. The scent is a bit strong but it has my hands feeling great. It's pretty thick texture also.
To purchase this product it would cost $28 for a 6.75 oz bottle. Check it out here.

The last product is a lipstick from City Color. This company is also animal testing/cruelty free. I received a natural looking shade but it may be a bit to dark for my liking. I received the shade Cappuccino (M7).
To purchase this Be Matte lipstick it's not expensive at only $5. Check it out here.

That was my Ipsy bag for this month. I think I got a pretty good glam bag this month. Like I said I can't wait for Novembers bag because of my extra products!

Street Style {{Ipsy September 2014}}

This month was by far my favorite Ipsy bag that I have received! I loved it! The theme this month was Street Style. I loved the bag with it's cute studs and I actually received products in here that I love! I have been waiting for awhile now to get a nail polish.

The first product is a lip gloss from the company Cailyn and it's in the shade Love Affair. It's a bit too dark for me but I will try it out eventually. It seems to be a dark red color.
To purchase this product it would cost $19 for this size. There are multiple different shades but other Ipsters could receive the shade Basic Instinct.
Check out this product here.

This product is Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair deep conditioning mask. I am super excited to try this product now that I know it's for my hair (I thought it was for my face...dont ask me why haha). This product has a nice smell to it and I'm hoping it helps my damaged hair.
This product comes in a cute container. After reading about this product on their website I am excited to try this and possibly purchase the full size product in the future! It's rated 5 stars and you can purchase this product for $26.
Check it out here.

This product is Leeanni Eco a 3 in 1 revolution light. This product is a moisturizer and toner for your face, plus its gluten free, natural, and vegan. According to Ipsy's site this product is edible except for the wax, which is super weird to me. This product doesn't smell terrible compared to others I have smelt before. Its scent is natural and light.
This product would cost you $17.48 for a 2 ounce bottle. There are multiple different natural products on their website that you can check out here.

I was super excited to see this product in my Ipsy bag! This is a crease/shadow brush from Crown Brush. I love it! This brush makes applying my eyeshadow easier.
You can purchase this product for $17.50 but on their website you can purchase it for $6.99. That's a great deal. I am probably going to purchase some of their makeup brushes to replace some of my old brushes.
Check them out here.

Now onto the product I've been waiting for since I've joined Ipsy was a nail polish. I received this nail polish from the brand Pacifica in the shade Red Red Wine in the 7 Free Nail Color Collection. The packaging is super cute and this color is great for fall! The application was nice and smooth and it dried super fast. The color looks pretty great on my nails.
There are multiple different shades that look so fun. You can purchase this product for $9. In the picture below it looks like a brighter red when really on my nails it's almost a dark maroon red. Check this product out here.

Do you want to sign up for Ipsy? It's only $10 a month which is a great price for what you get. One product alone in this months bag would have costed me more to purchase it. If you want to sign up make sure you click here.
This month's bag I rate a 10/10! Looking forward to whats in my November Ipsy bag!

Vitality Voxbox {{Influenster}}

It's been awhile since I've had something to share from Influenster but I finally qualified for a voxbox. This one that I qualified for is the Vitality Voxbox which had some pretty cool stuff inside! Lets get into the box!
The first product is First Degree Advanced Burn Cream and it retails for $5.97-$8.99. The card that I received from Influenster says: "First Degree Advanced Burn Cream's patented healing formula helps repair skin damage from all types of minor burns. Whether from cooking, grilling, using a hot beauty tool, - or even a razor burn - trust First Degree to soothe pain on contact, protect against infection, and help reduce the appearance of scars. Burns happen, so be prepared with First Degree, the complete solution for all types of minor burns." I personally think this product will come in handy, especially since it can be used on razor burns.
This product was a bit confusing for me at first because I couldn't quite figure out what it was for at first. This is the Elizabeth Arden FLAWLESS FUTURE Powered by Ceramide Caplet Serum. This retails at $60 for 1 fl. oz. Here is what Influesnter says: "First signs of aging? Keep calm and reclaim your flawless complexion with this innovative skin serum. Featuring a suspended caplet mini-bead formula that activates when dispensed, it helps to reinforce skin's essential moisture barrier, even skin tone and texture, and reduce the appearance of early signs of wrinkles for a revitalized complexion." Not quite sure when I will get a chance to use this product because anti-aging products really aren't my thing but I may let someone else use it and have them let me know how they like it.
I was most excited for this product! This is the Softlips Cube and it retails for $3.49. Influenster says: "Think outside the stick with Softlips Cube. Revolutionary 5 in 1 lip care combines an advanced formal with an innovative new cube-shaped package. Lips look radiant and feel softer, smoother, and more hydrated. It is available in three delightful new flavors: Softlips Pomegranate Blueberry, Softlips Fresh Mint, and Softlips Vanilla Bean." The flavor I received was the Fresh Mint but I would love to try the Pomegranate Blueberry flavor! I've used this product since I've received it and I love it! Makes my lips feel amazing and the packaging is super cute and convenient.
Next up is Playtex Sport Fresh Balance which retails at $3.99. I previously have used this brand before but not the Sport. Influesnter says: "Introducing NEW Playtex Sport Fresh Balance with Odor Shield technology. It's designed to neutralize odors for ultimate freshness on and off the field. Combined with 360 Degree design for Sport Level Protection you can go the distance. Play On."
Select Influensters got this in their Vitality voxboxes. This product is called Bikini Ready Energy Gummies and they retail at $14.99. Influenster says: "New Bikini Ready Energy Gummies are a great tasting B-12 vitamin supplement that act as an energy booster. Along with a healthy diet and exercise program, this scientifically advanced formula helps to boost your metabolism and increase your energy so you can maximize your workouts. Bikini Ready Energy Gummies are a great on the go, guilt-free, pick-me-up." I'm curious to see if these work because I have just had no energy lately. Not sure what type of flavors are inside but hopefully they taste good.
I forgot about one of the products that I received. I was too quick to put it in the fridge so that I could try it that I forgot to take a picture. This is Pure Leaf Iced Tea and the flavor I received mine in is Lemon. I'm not a huge iced tea person but I'm willing to give this a try to see how I like it. Influenster says: "Pure Leaf Iced Tea is made from real brewed tea for that fresh brewed taste. It starts with the finest ingredients and adds no preservative, resulting in a refreshing, real brewed tea with perfectly balance aroma, body, and flavor."

I received these products for testing purposes.

Ipsy Bag {{July 2014}}

 Finally reviewing my July Ipsy bag, I know I know I'm super behind and I didn't even review my June bag. This months Ipsy theme is "Sensationally Sunkissed". I wasn't too thrilled with the products I received this month so hopefully next months is better. I'm still waiting for an Ipsy bag with a nail polish included in it since I did mention that in my Ipsy survey.

 My first product that I got in this months bag was a two toned Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 2.0. The colors are Muse (the light one) and Passion (the darker one). The duo together is called The Inspiration. I have heard of the Bare Minerals brand so I was pretty excited to try this product. The one color is a bit darker then what I normally try but it may be nice for a crease.
To purchase this product off of Ulta.com the price would be $20.00. You can purchase this product here.

The next product I received was a sun kissed bronzer by POP Beauty. I have never heard of this company before but the packaging is super cute. I also have never tried a bronzer so I'm excited to try it out. The color does look a bit dark for my face. The shade I got was Secret Sunshine. According to Pop Beautys' website this product contains Vitamin E.
To purchase this product it would cost $10.00
You can purchase this product here.

 Next is a product from Pixi, which I received a product from them in a previous Ipsy bag. This is called the Tinted Brilliance Balm in the shade Unique Pink. It's not really a pink color, it shows up nude. I like to wear this to moisten my lips since it doesn't give my lips any color. It's the perfect size to carry in my purse to have when I need it.
Other Ipsy subscribers may have received the Pretty In Pink Shade. They have multiple different shades on their website. For the full sized product it would cost $14.00. You can purchase this product here.

This product is a sunscreen of SPF 30 by the brand Pulisse. It is also a daily moisturizer. I haven't tried this product because I have been indoors all day working so I haven't been able to try it. The packaging is cute and the smell isn't terrible either. I'm not a huge fan of sunscreen though because of the oily texture that it leaves behind. This product has vitamin E and white tea that calms sensitive skin.
This product size is .5 oz and for the full size is 1.7 oz. to purchase that full size product would be $55.00! This stuff must work wonders for that price. To purchase this product click here.

Last product is from Derma E and it's a BB Creme with SPF 25 in the shade Light Tint. This shade doesn't seem light to me, not sure it's going to match my skin tone. I haven't tried this product yet.
To purchase the full size product it would cost you $29.50. Purchase this product here.

Overall I think I got a pretty good Ipsy bag considering the prices for the products. Most of them were travel size but I also did get some full sized products. The bag this month is pretty boring for design wise but I like the texture of it.

Ipsy Glam Bag {{May 2014}}

This months glam bag wasn't really my favorite bag this month. The bag that it came in was cool and felt really "green". The products I wasn't much of a fan but am willing to give them a try. With such a busy work load this month I haven't really been able to try the products yet but I figured I would get a post up about what I got. This months bag was called Beauty's Fresh Picks.
First product is the Eva-nye Therapy Session Hair Mask. Like I mentioned earlier I haven't tried any of these products yet but I'm sorta interested in giving this a try. I'm hoping it helps my hair out and makes it a bit healthier. This product states that it will strengthen my hair and hydrate it. To purchase this product it would cost you $12.00. I also got a bit distracted on their website by an awesome hair straightener that I must have, they have some really awesome products on their site. I can't wait to give this product a try and see how it makes my hair feel.

 This next product was one that I was really excited for because I've always wanted to get one of these. I just have never purchased one for myself so I'm really glad I got this. It's the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm. Mine came in the shade Elusive Insaisissable (205) and you can purchase this for $8.99 is what I'm finding on Google since their website wasn't working for me.

 This is an eye shadow duo from Pacifica, a brand I've never heard of until now. I got a brown shade called Duo 1 (Celestial and Opal). These shades are definitely my color and one I will probably use since it's a neutral color. I couldn't find a price or product like this on their website so I'm guessing this was a special for Ipsy and you can purchase these eye shadows in a set with others.  So I'm not sure what the value is of this.
This next product is a sunscreen from Jersey Shore Sun Sans Tan and it's SPF is 35. This product also claims that it is anti-aging with organic ingredients. You can purchase this product for $25.00 so it's a bit on the expensive side. I'm hoping this product isn't greasy like most sun screen is but I will try this out and hopefully it works.
So this next product I got was Barefoot Exfoliating polish by Bare Foot Spa Professional. I got two packets of this polish. To purchase the full size product it is $5.99. Not much to say about this product because I haven't tried it.
This most defiantly wasn't my favorite Ipsy bag but I can't wait until Junes bag to see what they have in store for us. It seems like I got this month's Ipsy bag earlier then I did last month. Make sure to leave me a comment letting me know what you got in your Ipsy bag this month.
