On this blog you will see reviews of products that I have either purchased myself or received for testing purposes.

iPhone 6 Case
The phone case that I am going to be reviewing today is another clear phone case. This one is clear with a pink bumper around it. This case is nice because it keeps your phone pretty protected but dirt and dust gets trapped under it and you can see it on the other side. This case protects your phone for the most part but I wouldn't say its as protective as an Otterbox or Life Proof case. This is also sorta just a fashionable case that allows you to show off your iPhone.
I switch my phone cases quite often so I do put this one on my phone here and there. I like the bright pink accent of this case, plus it allows the buttons to be pushed accurately.

Rader Farms {{Influenster}}

The three different types are pictured to the left. I tried the Sunrise Refresh Fusion but had a hard time deciding which one to go for. After reading other peoples reviews on this product I realized that they didn't care for the product because they couldn't cover up the green taste. I use apple juice to make my smoothies and it tasted pretty good.

I will definitely try these other flavors sometime in the future.
L'Oreal Paris Ultimate Straight {{Influenster}}
I love Influenster! They always send me some awesome products that I love testing! Recently I received this set thats pictured above. It's the L'Oreal Paris Ultimate Straight shampoo, conditioner, pre-conditioner, and a perfecting balm. I have straight hair already but I feel like this just helps with my type of hair.
The scent of the shampoo smells great but it changes a bit with the conditioner. The scent is still good with the conditioner, it's just different. I use the pre-conditioner twice a week and not with every washing. I rarely use the perfecting balm because I try to avoid straightening my hair all the time. The balm is to help protect your hair from the heat.
Including the four full sized product they sent me I also got a sample packet of each of the above bottles. I'm going to give this sampler to my sister who has a bit of a different hair type then I do. Her hair is thicker and sort of wavy compared to mine. I am curious to see how this product works for her type of hair.
You can purchase these at any Walmart or Target. Not sure on the purchase price for these products. If you have straight hair or straighten your hair often I recommend this product.

Misc. Products

The car seat cover is a great material that keeps the sun out and protects your baby. It's easy to apply to any type of car seat. I received this product from the website Tomoson.com. This grey chevron print is very gender neutral. The under part of this cover is a soft fabric. I would say this product is great for hot days when you don't want the sun blaring in your babies face or on rainy days to keep them dry.

I received this product for no charge for testing purposes.

The last thing I'm going to be writing about is Gold Bond Healing Lotion. I received a sample size from PinchMe. I have used this product before and I love it so I was excited to get a sample of this. This lotion works great for sunburns and dry skin. It's the perfect lotion to keep on hand. I keep this sample version in my purse so that I can use it throughout the day.

Jamberry Nails
So I went ahead and purchased some of these nails. They were having a sale going on of buy 3 get 1 free so I went ahead and ordered four sheets. Ever since then I've been addicted to them, my nails haven't been nude since. It's $15 for a sheet which is quite expensive but they last for two weeks and you get more than one manicure per each sheet. These things could actually last longer than two weeks but I notice a lot of nail growth. These nail wraps help me with growing my nails because I don't want to pick at them or try and chew them anymore. Also these nails last through working a 40 hour a week job with lots of hands on stuff and also my fingers getting smashed, they still looked like new! Here are some of my nails since I've started my Jamberry journey!

These nails are so fun and there are so many to choose from! I'm currently hosting my own Facebook party right now. I'm glad I got introduced to these nail wraps.

iPhone 6 Clear Case from Handy Armor Review
From the packaging I was a bit skeptical that this product would actually protect my phone because it's flimsy and really thin. I put it on my phone and haven't taken it off since, I love how natural it makes my phone feel and look.
I normally don't drop my phone often but just two days ago my phone took a plunge on concrete with this case on it. My sister (who has the same phone as me) was positive that I had cracked it because she thought I didn't have a case on my phone at all thats how thin it is. After picking my phone up there were no scratches or breaks at all. I was so relieved, this case survived the crash test and protected my phone. Now I wouldn't recommend getting this case and purposely dropping your phone.
I'm glad I got to test this product because I use my phone every day and always seem to have it with me and I love phone cases. I would definitely recommend this case. You can purchase this case on Amazon for $9.97, just click here. Here are some pictures of the case on my phone, note that you can hardly tell that there is a case on the phone.
Disclaimer: I received this case for free for testing purposes, all opinions on this product are my own.

#XOVoxbox
So I'm finally getting around to writing my review on the overall items in my #XOVoxbox that I received from Influenster. I really enjoyed this box that I received. Some of the stuff that I was offered I didn't get to do like the Adore Me offer of getting a free set lingerie and the Lands End just because I didn't find anything in my style. So I'm going to review the products that I actually received.

First product is the Tide Pods plus Febreeze which you may have seen a post earlier about this. This was by far my favorite product in the box. I got to sample a package of 10 pods and I loved the scent and how convenient it made doing my laundry. The extra kick from Febreeze made it smell amazing and makes my clothes smell great. I recently have purchased this product in the package of 75 pods. This product wasn't even on store shelves when I received this product. I had to wait to purchase mine a couple weeks after I received the box. I read some reviews that other people have posted about the pods and how they didn't work for them. I haven't had that problem but I put the pod in first with a bit of water in my washer then add the rest of my clothes so that I know it has time to dissolve and make my clothes smell fresh.

Next I got a travel size of Skinfix Hand Repair Cream. The scent of this cream isn't very strong so that makes it more pleasurable to use. I noticed that I didn't have to use very much of this cream in order for it to moisturize my hands. If I used too much my hands would become a bit greasy feeling and I didn't really enjoy that because that is a reason why I dislike lotions. For my work my hands have to be in gloves for 8 hours a day so my hands become really dry so it was nice to try this cream after work so my hands felt better. This product is made with natural ingredients and fragrance free.

Colgate OPTIC WHITE Toothbrush is the next product that I'm going to review. I really enjoyed this product because of the whitening pen and how you can store it. I have used other whitening pens but I always hate reusing them because they get gross and dirty. With this product you can simply store it in the end of your toothbrush. It makes me remember to use it instead of forgetting to use it. My teeth look a lot whiter after using this product. I have been getting a lot of compliments about my teeth looking whiter. So this product defiantly works. I have used Colagate before with their tooth paste products but never really their whitening. I saw this product in my local Walmart and it is sort of expensive but is worth it. I don't think I will repurchase this exact toothbrush right away until it needs to be replaced but I do love the convenience of the whitener being right there. That way I also don't have to worry about getting extra germs on the whitening applicator.
Rate: 9/10
Next is another product from Colgate OPTIC WHITE Express White Toothpaste. I have previously used their Optic White products but never this toothpaste. I use this along with the toothbrush and the whitening and like I said earlier I already can see the difference in my teeth. I received the Fresh Mint flavor and it's actually not too strong like most minty toothpastes. I think that I will repurchase this product once I run out because it seems to actually work. It doesn't make my teeth hurt or feel sensitive.
Rate: 7/10

Next up are three different products from the John Frieda Beach Blonde Collection. I received a shampoo, conditioner, and sea salt spray. I was a bit hesitant on using this because I thought it was only for people with blonde hair and I have brunette hair. This product is for all hair types and length. I got the travel size in these products and the shampoo and conditioner are a minty smell. The conditioner made my hair feel so soft. I actually haven't tried the sea salt spray yet because my hair is so flat and straight that I am not quite sure if it would actually work. I plan on using it this summer so I hope that it works.

I really enjoyed testing the product in my voxbox. I got a variety of different products that were fun to test. Want to know more? Just leave a comment below.
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Tide Pods Plus Febreeze

voxbox full of awesome products to test. The one product that I'm going to be discussing today is the Tide Pods plus Febreeze. This product hasn't even touched store shelves yet! You can always check out the product by clicking
So if you know me I get frustrated with doing laundry that most the time I just leave it until it really has to be done. I was pretty excited to receive these in my XO Voxbox. I rounded up a load of laundry just so I could give these a try. It was super easy to do a load of laundry. It saved me a bunch of time.
The scent is a bit strong when you smell it straight out of the package but after your wash is done it's the perfect strength. It made my clothes smell amazing and fresh. I am impressed with this product that I am going to purchase more just to make my laundry quick and easy.
The quick easy steps to these Pods are just starting the water in your washer and then plop in a pod then add your clothes. It's that easy! The Tide Pods plus Febreeze are amazing. Just yesterday I was finally able to find this product on store shelves and I quickly picked some up since there was only 3 tubs left.

Fresh Start {{Ipsy January 2015}}
It's Ipsy time again! I always love getting my pink foam mailer every month because it always holds something good. The theme this month was Fresh Start. The bag this month is quite different it is blue on one side and on the other side it is white. The zipper and the inside is a coral color. This month I got some pretty cool products but I can't wait to see what else they have in store for us in the year 2015!
Here is another picture of the bag this month. As you can see the texture is sort of a canvas feel to it instead of being smooth. I really love the blue color with the coral, it makes a good combo. I'm not really into the white side of this bag, I think the bag would be really cool if both sides were the blue.
Alright so the first product is a gel eye liner called Fantabulous by J. Cat Beauty. The shade I got is Blue Black (102F). I'm not huge into colored eye liner but I think this shade will be dark enough that it will look more black then blue. I've actually never tried a gel eye liner before so I'm pretty excited to try it out.
To purchase this product it would cost $3.99 and you can purchase it here.
Next up is Mannai Sheer Glo shimmer lotion. The shade is universal and can be used on the face and the body. When you use it on your face you can mix it with your foundation or use it alone. If you use it on your body you are supposed to mix it with another lotion. I haven't tested this product out yet but I plan to.
The only way I could find to purchase this product was to purchase the "Discovery Set" which includes other products. To purchase that set it would cost $25. You can purchase that set here.
Next product is an eye cream from Nourish Organic Renewing eye cream. The ingredients in this are avocado oil and moroccan aragan oil with shea butter. I gave this stuff a try and I don't mind the scent, it's not strong or anything. I didn't really notice too much but maybe I just need to keep using it.
To purchase this product it would cost $19.99 but was on sale at the time for $14.99 for a .5 oz container which is what we received in our Ipsy bags. To view this product click here. For that price I don't think it's something I would purchase.
This product cannot be purchased individually because it has to be purchased in a palette. Most of their palettes costed around $14 which you can check out here.
Lastly this is one of my favorite products. This is a fine liner brush by Real Techniques. Previous before his Ipsy bag I have never owned a brush like this so I'm glad I got this. It's in a purple color and I can't wait to give it a try on my upper eye liner. I love when I receive products that help apply makeup instead of just the makeup product itself.
This product can be purchased for $6 here.
Overall I think I got a pretty good January Ipsy bag! I can't wait to see what I am getting in the February bag. I always hate the wait though. What was your favorite product?

Rewind {{January LootCrate}}
Picture of my December LootCrate |

Next is this Comic Notebook from Unemployed Philosophers Guild. It's a 60 page pocket notebook with comic book panels so that you can create your own comics. There are even stencils included so you can have conversation bubbles.
The little figure thing to the right is a 10-Doh! figure from Squid Kids Ink. These little figures are in the shape of the old Nintendo games. They came in many different games but I got the Alien Attack figure.
That's it for this month's Loot Crate. As you can see you get quite a bit of items in each month's box.

Thinking of You {{December 2014 Ipsy}}

I also recently subscribed to another box service thats not makeup related. This box is called LootCrate, if you want to see what I get in those boxes make sure to comment below. One thing that LootCrate does that I wish Ipsy did was they don't allow spoilers. I always know what's in my Ipsy bag because Ipsy posts their bags after shipping has started. LootCrate doesn't they don't ever post what's in their boxes. Do you like the surprise or do you like to know whats coming?Now onto the products!
The first product is probably one of my favorites! I'm not huge into wearing stuff on my lips but I loved this. This is NYX Butter Lip Balm. I got the shade Parfait (BLB01) and I love the scent of it. It has a light fruity smell and the application is smooth. I wore this product just out and about and it stayed on for most of the day. It was the perfect color because it wasn't too bright.
You can purchase this product for $4 here. I love how these are inexpensive and their are different shades. I will probably be purchasing this product in the future.
Next up is this Pixi by Petra Fairy Dust in the shade Brightening Bare. It's a gold sparkle eye shadow that isn't terribly pigmented. The applicator is different and sort of weird to apply but I like how it looks over other eye shadow. I'm into the color gold for some reason so I really like this color. It is a powder but it doesn't seem too loose.
To purchase this product it would cost you $10 and there are multiple different shades. You can purchase this product here.
The next product is from Swissco and it is a purple eyelash curler. I love the color of this product, it's metallic purple and super cute. I have never really received a product like this from Ipsy so I was pretty excited to be getting this. It works really good and makes my lashes look long.
To purchase this product it would only cost you $5 and you can purchase it here. While looking at this product online I saw that the only other color you could get is a metallic blue color. Ipsy users only received the color purple.
I got mascara to go along with my eye lash curler. The mascara is from Tarte and it's called Lights, Camera, Lashes. We received a travel size which is perfect to take with me in my purse. I have used this a couple of times and I like how it makes my lashes feel. The applicator brush is quite long so it gets onto all of my lashes.
To purchase this product it would cost $20, which you can find here. The packaging on the product is super cute in a royal purple and gold.
The last product is a facial cleanser from BWC. I haven't used this product yet because the last time I used a facial cleanser my face broke out, but I do plan on trying it out here soon. The packaging says it is lightly foaming and soap free. It also states that it is 100% vegan--vegetarian. The scent isn't to strong
We received a 2 fl. oz. sample size. The full size is 8.5 oz. for $11.95 which you can purchase here.
This month I used every product except for the facial cleanser and actually wore it as my daily makeup. I really like how the look turned out and I was glad I could use everything in my bag to do my makeup. All I added that wasn't in the bag was the eyeliner and a primer. Here is the look:
